Building with AI, and showing that quality keeps up

AI assistants write code at a high pace. But code isn't a product yet: architecture, tests, security and documentation have to keep up. Continuous, automated checks on evidence are how that works.

What AI doesn't keep up by itself

AI does what one instruction asks. Whether the change fits the architecture, whether tests come with it, whether no key ends up in the code and whether the documentation still holds: nobody asks, unless someone checks. The faster the pace, the faster it falls behind.

Why manual checks can't keep up

A review per pull request looks at that one change. An audit once a year is a snapshot. The pace of building with AI needs a check that runs with every new version, automatically, and says what is proven. That's where development is heading.

What we check

Five parts, each with its evidence:

  • Code quality: complexity, hotspots and parts without updates
  • Security: secrets, vulnerable dependencies and risky code
  • Tests: unit and end-to-end tests, proven with reports from your own CI
  • Documentation: what's there, what's thin and what's missing
  • Architecture: the map of your repository and where the knowledge sits

We work this way ourselves

We use AI in our own work, with the same kind of checks on ourselves: fixed scans, tests and a definition of done the pipeline enforces. What we offer, we use ourselves every day.

Questions we often get

Is code from AI worse than other code?

We don't say that, and we don't quote figures we can't back up. It's about the pace: more code arrives, so the check has to keep up automatically.

Do you use AI in the check yourselves?

Yes, to read the code. The fixed scans run without AI. Every claim the model makes must point to a file, a line or a report; what can't be checked doesn't go in your view. We are accountable for the check.

Does it matter which AI assistant we use?

No. We check the result: the code and the evidence in your CI. Instruction files for AI assistants in your repository count with the documentation.

Sign up for the pilot

The pilot is by invitation. Sign up, we check whether your application fits and email you. You connect your repository with read access only, the first check starts by itself, you see what is checked and what is proven, and then we ask what it is worth to you. Have a question first? Ask it in the message below.
