Use case
UX research interviews without the scheduling overhead
User interviews are the gold standard for UX research. The catch is logistics: recruiting, calendar tetris, sitting through every call, then transcribing and coding the recordings. BlueLandscape runs UX research interviews as an async chat instead — one sharp idea, conversational depth at survey scale.
Each participant opens a short chat link and talks to an AI interviewer that probes like a real researcher: it paraphrases answers back to confirm it understood, asks for a concrete example when someone is vague, and digs into the "why" behind a behaviour. You read structured themes afterwards, not a stack of raw transcripts.
A designer testing a new onboarding flow
Say you're a product designer and you've just reshaped the signup-to-first-action flow. The old way: book twelve 30-minute calls, hope eight show up, run them across two weeks, then spend a weekend tagging notes. That's most of a sprint gone before you learn anything.
Instead, you describe the goal once — "find out where people stall in the new onboarding and why" — and share the link in your beta channel. People answer when it suits them, on their own time. The AI follows up on every "it felt confusing" until it knows exactly which step and exactly why. By Monday you have themes pulled across everyone who replied, with the quotes that back them up.
What you get
- →Real-time probing. The AI moderates live — it follows up on interesting answers and asks for examples, the way a researcher would. A static survey can't.
- →No scheduling, fully async. Respondents answer via a short chat link in their own time. No calendars, no recordings, no no-shows.
- →No question tree to maintain. Describe the research goal once; the AI handles the branching as the conversation goes.
- →Themes extracted for you. Cross-respondent patterns surface automatically, plus a short AI summary per session — no manual tagging.
- →Privacy by default. PII is auto-redacted at intake, with EU data residency in Amsterdam and GDPR-compliant consent logging.
- →Pay-per-use. Roughly €0.05–€0.50 per completed session, no per-seat fees, and a €50 monthly cap you set.
Common questions
How is this different from a survey?
A survey asks fixed questions and stops. The AI interviewer paraphrases each answer back to check it understood, then follows up where it's interesting — so you get the why behind the click, not just the click.
How long does setup take?
Three steps: describe your research goal, share the chat link, read the themes. There's no flow logic to build and nothing to wire up.
Can participants answer in their own language?
Yes. The AI renders the conversation in each respondent's language at runtime, so a mixed-market study still comes back as one set of themes.
