BlueLandscape · Invoicing · vs Yuki

BlueLandscape Invoicing vs Yuki.

Both run in the Netherlands. Yuki is an accounting platform; we're an AI productivity suite. Honest comparison from the team that builds BlueLandscape.

A different shape, not lesser quality

Yuki is an automated bookkeeping platform, popular with Dutch freelancers and small BVs. Strengths: receipt scan app, automated VAT filing, accountant portal, accounts-receivable management. Their positioning is "we do the boring side of your bookkeeping for you".

BlueLandscape is something else: an AI suite, invoicing-first. Today we do invoicing and customer interviews; the coming months bring administration, time-tracking, expenses, and CMS. Every tool runs in a conversation; every tool shares the same client base.

Where Yuki wins

  • Automated bookkeeping. Yuki pulls in receipts and invoices automatically via scan + email, categorises them, and pipes the numbers to your accountant. We don't (yet).
  • VAT filing done for you. Yuki files your quarterly or monthly VAT return automatically from the scanned data.
  • Accounts receivable management. Automated reminder emails for unpaid invoices — Yuki handles dunning.
  • Accountant integration. Mature accountant portal — your accountant works directly in your file.
  • Receipt scanning. Mobile app where you photograph receipts; OCR + categorisation happen automatically.
  • Bank-feed integration. Bank reconciliation with automatic matching against invoices.

If you need any of these, stay on Yuki — or pair us (invoicing) with Yuki (accounting). Our UBL/Peppol XML imports straight into Yuki via your accountant.

Where we win

If invoicing is your main task — and the rest of the bookkeeping lives at your accountant or in another tool — Yuki is broader overhead than you need for the pure invoicing work:

  • Speed of invoicing. "Invoice ACME for 16 hours of senior consulting at €125." One sentence, one invoice. Yuki has you clicking through screens — a few minutes per invoice.
  • Pricing. €0.20 per sent invoice, no subscription. Yuki starts around €25–35/month and climbs to €100+ for the complete packages.
  • UBL/Peppol on every send. Always included with us. Yuki ties it to certain tiers.
  • AI drafting. The AI understands natural language and builds the invoice. Yuki stays form-based.
  • Shared client base across our other tools. The companies you invoice are the same ones you'll use in customer interviews, time-tracking, and expenses — one shared address book.

Migrating from Yuki

No one-click importer yet. Export your contacts from Yuki, ask the AI in the BlueLandscape chat to recreate them, and start with a fresh invoice numbering sequence. Yuki stays available for the bookkeeping as long as you keep that subscription.

Our honest take

For freelancers and small teams who want receipt scanning and VAT filing taken off their plate: Yuki is strong. We're not replacing that today.

For freelancers who mostly invoice and let their accountant handle bookkeeping: Yuki is broader than you need. BlueLandscape does the invoicing faster and cheaper, and the other tools we're shipping over the coming months plug into the same client base.

Or pair both: BlueLandscape for sending invoices (fast + AI), Yuki for your accountant's bookkeeping. The UBL/Peppol XML from every invoice lands straight in Yuki.
